Seldom Seen Farm describes just what it is! Hidden away high up in the hills, with the landmark Billesdon Coplow knoll to the north and the Leicestershire countryside spreading out to the southern horizon.
On our 207-acre mixed farm we specialise in producing the best of seasonal produce - geese and turkeys for Christmas as well as our renowned three bird roast – a goose stuffed with a chicken, stuffed with a pheasant and layered with spiced pork and orange.
We have been farming here for 40 years and we’ve always believed that the provenance of the food you bring to the table is so important. Our free-range geese are fed on potatoes and grain grown here at Seldom Seen Farm as well as lush Leicestershire grass – it means that they have a distinctive flavour and their skin is golden.
We produce free range traditional Norfolk bronze turkeys for Christmas, and also sell pheasant and partridge in our farm shop through December. You will also find homemade jams, jellies, pickles, honey from the farm, Christmas Puddings, mince pies, sausage rolls, home baking, cheeses, Brussels sprouts on the stalk and a selection of ready cooked dishes like shepherd’s pies and lasagnes.
