The turkeys we rear on Seldom Seen Farm in Leicestershire are the plump breasted Norfolk bronze. This is a traditional breed of turkey that grows slowly to maturity in order to achieve a deep resonating flavour. Like our geese, the turkeys are allowed to roam freely and nibble happily on grubs in the grass between feasting regally on our farm-grown corn.
The turkeys are hatched in late Spring and once they are strong enough, soon come out into our fields in the rolling countryside.
